(Bloomberg) — European equities bounced back for a second session as investors took stock of political developments in France ahead of elections and scoured the market for opportunities following a recent selloff, even as gains remained muted.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index was up 0.6% by 08:18 a.m. London time. Traders were also keeping an eye on the upcoming release of inflation data for the euro zone, which could help inform the ECB’s next move after the central bank’s landmark interest rate cut at the start of the month.
